What a Time!

3.13.2024

Just wanted to tell everyone I appreciate their patience as I’ve been largely MIA over the past month. About 10 days ago, I wrote about my mental/emotional struggles due to some difficult business deals and was beginning to turn a corner when I came down with a bad cold that turned into Strep Throat. I hope I am now getting over that too and can return to a normal schedule soon. Add to the mix that I drive a school bus so getting up very early is mandatory and we just had the time change that I never adjust well to and I’m just a plain mess right now! So bear with me and I am glad that my struggles don’t come close to Paul’s:

”From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation? If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.“ II Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭24‬-‭31‬

How amazing that Paul boosted about the struggles he had because I believe he knew that is when the grace of God shined the brightest. So, while I haven’t been beaten or shipwrecked, I’ve struggled but in my struggles I have enjoyed His grace all the more.

No matter what you are going through, don’t let religion steal the grace that Christ has provided- the very grace we need even more when we struggle. Run into the throne room today!

”Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.“ Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭
