Day 16: 121-128

The Psalm 119 Challenge is a 22 day adventure designed to help us fall in love with God’s Word. Eight verses a day taking five minutes will impact your life greatly! Join us.

“I have done justice and righteousness; Do not leave me to my oppressors. Be surety for Your servant for good; Do not let the proud oppress me. My eyes fail from seeking Your salvation And Your righteous word. Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy, And teach me Your statutes. I am Your servant; Give me understanding, That I may know Your testimonies. It is time for You to act, O LORD, For they have regarded Your law as void. Therefore I love Your commandments More than gold, yes, than fine gold! Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.” Psalms‬ ‭119:121-128‬

We’ve all heard terms like ‘be on the right side of history’ or ‘chose the right side of the law.’ In the end, it is important to be on the right side. The writer of Psalms 119 understands this.

He makes it clear how important living according to God’s law is by emphasizing it in vs. 121. He understands that being on the ride side of God’s law will protect him and keep him safe from his enemies.

Knowing the benefits of being on the right side of God’s law causes him to love God’s law more than gold! It is also significant that he believes ALL of God’s precepts are right and to be followed. It is easy to pick and chose the law we follow but he makes it clear it doesn’t work that way.

Being on the right side with God brings many blessings for us and that should cause us to love God’s law- all of it!

Are you on the right side of His law? Do you accept all of it as right and to be followed?
